Project Description:
The project dedicated to the 135th anniversary of the great composer Uzeyir Hajibeyli, the founder of the modern professional music school of Azerbaijan was implemented in partnership with the Azerbaijan National Conservatory, the Azerbaijan-American Music Foundation and Washington International Piano Arts Council.
Within the framework of the project, professional musicians from the United States of America and Azerbaijan performed and pre-recorded selected works of Uzeyir Hajibeyli. The presentation of the project took place on September 18 on the eve of the birthday of the great composer in the format of a video conference.

The Aim of the Project
The aim of the project dedicated to the 135-th anniversary of the great composer Uzeyir Hajibeyli, the founder of the modern professional music school of Azerbaijan is to present the composer’s music to the world art community by having Azerbaijani and American musicians perform his selected music and saving its video in Google-Drive as an e-disk and placing on YouTube. The illustrations to the personages of the works by Uzeyir Hajibeyli drawn by Narmina Valiyeva within the framework of the project included into the e-disk will visually enrich the internet users’ imagination about Uzeyir Hajibeyli’s music world and increase interest in them to do research on his creative activities. Also, the composer’s music purified in the springs of Karabakh will tell a lot to the world art community about the Karabakh truth.
